Communication Engineer (Dubai, UAE)
Our Client is a leading international provider of Metro Communications and Signalling Systems worldwide and the Communications Engineer will be based in Dubai for at least 2 years and will be the technical interface to the Customer to discuss all the aspects relevant to the Metro telecommunication subsystems design and implementation.
Requirements
- Telecommunications/Communications Engineer with good experience in the design and implementation of telecom subsystems in underground metro applications.
- The preferred required experience covers SDH and IP Backbone Networks, TETRA Radio Networks, WiFi networks, CCTV, Intrusion and Alarm Systems, Passenger Information Systems, Public Address Systems, Private Telephone Networks, Emergency Control Systems, Fibre Optic networks, Digital Voice and Video Recording and Time Distribution Systems.
- Knowledge of Network Management Systems and Operation Control Centres (including SCADA) would also be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of railways and metro environments, the relevant application standards and operational constraints.

Description
Reporting directly to the Director of Projects. This position is open to someone who has experience in mega projects and prepared to take on a heavy workload, previous leisure and entertainment project experience would be favored but is not critical. Present a monthly overall progress of works for the client covering 24-26 developers on an integrated bar chart highlighting reasons of delays and solution if related to the client directly.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipline
- Project Management and Planning
- Minimum 5 years in Microsoft Projects Planner and or Primavera
- Minimum 5 years in monitoring large scale projects with a construction or Project Manager
- Proficient using MS office applications including MS projects or Primavera
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop…3D MAX is an advantage
- Deep knowledge in framework Planning and large scale developments
- Practical experience in the different stages of projects planning and design phases
- Ability to converse with business planning and operations department heads
- Excellent English language skills
